My Statement of Intent :

The audience for my image set is my fellow students and course tutors and I intend the audience to feel that they have seen the variety of architecture Edinburgh has to offer in new ways.

Six architecture photographs using a fine art approach, depicting a clear narrative illustrating old to new and daytime into night, to emphasise the range of architecture the city has to offer.

I will capture the images from mid-afternoon through to night, from street level and mostly in portrait / landscape 3:2 aspect to capture the height and breadth of the subjects. The images will be authentic, some stylised and with some post-production to achieve a stronger artistic outcome. The journey will be from old traditional through Gothic to modern, then back to old but not so traditional.

Edinburgh has a wonderful range of constructions, some awe-inspiring and some dreadful. I hope to do the subject justice in a small way.
