Brief: To design a kitchen appliance for the disabled community that follows the theme of either cut, grind or chop for the MECAD Systems Student Design Competition 2023.
2nd Year Term 4 CAD Advanced Project - SolidWorks Surfacing Introduction Assignment.
Goal: To create a coffee grinder that is easier to use and handle, specifically for people with dexterity difficulty in their hands and in turn make a product that is easy for all to use and still beautiful, proving that a product designed with disabled people in-mind can still look elegant and something that all people can benefit from. Most of my inspiration was taken from brands like Joseph Joseph and OXO as they make products that follow the The 7 Principles of Universal Design very well and therefore cater to all people regardless of their disabilities, making better products for all.
