In a dystopian present, Harsh, a mid-20s corporate drone, lives a mundane life, excessively attached to his smartphone. One evening, while on the metro, his phone begins scrolling on its own, causing him to experience a sensory overload. He hallucinates being in a desert, following a mysterious woman in red towards an oasis, which turns out to be a mirage. A vulture, symbolizing rebirth, pecks him, snapping him back to reality. Surrounded by others also lost in their screens, only an old man reading a book stands out. This encounter leads Harsh to realize the emptiness of digital addiction. He puts away his phone, enlightened by the experience, understanding that true fulfillment lies beyond the virtual world. The story, titled "Sands of Pixels
