Project Brief
The aim of this project was to develop an appealing corporate identity for a premium product of a selected commodity. The product should be influenced by distinctive South African ingredients, cultures, or flavours. After the brand development the product should extend into three range variants. The brand was intended to be positioned for both South African and international consumers.

Design Strategy
The Thriving Hive flora-scented organic beeswax candle range is produced with care in the scenic town of Ceres in the Western Cape. The beeswax is naturally infused with the delightful scents of nature. It has various health benefits. The beeswax can be used as a hand and feet mask by applying the melted wax on the skin and letting it dry. This will result in smooth and silky skin, thanks to the healing oils in the wax. The colour palette consists of natural and organic colours, complemented by the beautiful colour of fynbos. The illustration and design style can be described as elegant and classy. The font is also professional and classy, to suit the design style. The colour palette is inspired by the Indigenous fynbos used in the product range.

Redo:
The project underwent a transformation in mood and tone. The colour palette was tweaked to achieve a softer, smoother appearance that aligns with the sophistication of the product. This is particularly pertinent as the candle that is made out of beeswax are designed for healing dry hands and feet. The use of gradients serves to emulate the glow of a burning candle. Additionally, the vertical narrative and moodboard was revisited and refined for a more polished outcome.
