Creating an Infographic
In this project, we were tasked with creating an infographic poster centered around a selected topic sourced from an article. Additionally, we were required to produce an explainer video that delved into the content presented in the infographic poster.

Why Bees?
I chose to do on the topic of bees because I felt that they are always overlooked in the ecology and some people do even consider them as pests because they are insects. Bees are actually the main source of -how pollination occurs and they keep our eco-system running.
I began my exploration on the importance of bees by delving into multiple articles, as I recognised that a single source wouldn't suffice to grasp the entirety of this fascinating creature. The more I read, the more I uncovered the more amazed I was, making it even more intriguing for my project. I needed to summarise all relevant information in the infographic without overwhelming my target audience.
I began researching infographics layouts on related topics to observe their organisation and information presentation through hierarchy as well.
Layouts
I did about 10 different layouts to showcase the importance of the bees. I knew I wanted a hero image with the bee being really up close to show its presence in the infographic poster.
I began by illustrating my hero element, the bee, which occupies a significant portion of the infographic's space. As I worked it more, it provided me with a clearer vision of the infographic's overall style.
The Bee's illustration style is done from scratch because I wanted the bee to look realistic but at the same time I wanted it to be vectorised. Hence, the technique I applied was to draw shape by shape.

Icons were also developed together after the bee.
Following the completion of illustrations and the collection of essential information, I started the assembly of the infographic. This phase entailed organizing elements, structuring sections, and ensuring a seamless flow of information. A particular focus was given to establishing a clear visual hierarchy, emphasizing the prominence of key points.
Final Infographic Poster
The infographic poster main key hero is the bee which then leads the viewer to the key figure, 80% which accounts for all the pollinators out there. The other relevant information includes its body adaptation, their contribution and their role as pollinators.
It also includes information on why bee population is declining and what can be done to prevent it.

Apart from the infographic poster, a explainer video is also developed for viewers to understand the importance of bees and what should be done to prevent their population from declining.
