Part of what makes this classic underdog story so captivating is Rocky's self-made conditioning and training, using what little resources he had, a stark contrast to Creed's resources and elaborate routine and entourage. I aimed to highlight Rocky's unwavering dedication and the journey from his humble beginnings to his current stature.

It took a lot of time and effort, but this was a project were I saw the most growth, and fell in love with the results. My biggest struggle was the typography, and getting it to fit with the organic, asymmetrical shape of the hanging meat. I learned to better employ visual and communication hierarchy, which helped me piece the right info in the right places. I saturated the reds, and once I was satisfied with the composition, I added depth and character by adding Rocky and a rolled ink texture.

 Towards the end of the project, each visual, header, and piece of text felt like a puzzle piece. I had everything that I needed, and I just needed to figure out how to click them into place. My poster was honored with an award, and was published in an annual student works magazine.
