Objective
The objective of this banner is to increase awareness among our Region 11 teachers and administrators of the Texas Lesson Study Model.This program allows teachers to engage in continuous improvement by strengthening and enhancing their Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) utilizing the Texas lessonStudy model.
As an Education Service Center, we have hundreds of school personnel in our facility each day attending professional development sessions. We often display retractable banners in the hallways of the building to help market some of our programs and services.
Evidence of Success
Since we set up the retractable Texas Lesson Study banner, our Teaching and Learning department has received multiple inquiries from district personnel regarding ways to enhance their teachers' PLCs. The Teaching and Learning staff credit our banner with promoting the idea of strengthening PLCs, which leads to further investigation of the TexasLesson Study model.
