Each player receives a ring corresponding to one of two colors, aiming to land it on a board with corn kernels of the two colors fixed with small pegs. Each player has a kernel board with missing kernels numbered from 1 to 10. Taking turns, players toss their rings onto the board, attempting to match the color of their ring with a kernel. Successful tosses allow players to pick and place corresponding numbered kernels on their boards. The first player to fill their kernel board with all 10 numbers of kernels in the chosen color emerges victorious in this exciting game.
Activity 2_Gameplay:
In this game, the child combines word formation with stacking in a creative twist. With a set of 26 corn kernels, each featuring alphabets A-Z, the child selects a word card (e.g., SUN) from the set of 12 cards. Next, they choose kernels with the corresponding alphabets to form the word (S, U, N) and attempts to stack them on the back of the ant, mirroring the composition shown on the card. Inspired by the story where ants store corn kernels, this activity adds a playful element of learning while fostering creativity and fine motor skills.
Activity 3_Gameplay:
In this engaging activity, children encounter four picture puzzles that depict different scenes from the story. The puzzle boards feature missing shape cutouts, including circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles. Notably, the shapes are arranged in ascending order based on the number of missing pieces, ranging from two to higher counts. To add an element of fun, children write their names on a dedicated sheet and use each letter of their name as a guide. Starting with the first letter, they locate the corresponding letter on the box's wall and select a snowball token from the corresponding row or column on the grid. The challenge lies in finding the elusive corn kernel, which is hidden on the other side of only one snowball token. The game unfolds with excitement as children explore different names and uncover the precious corn kernel. This activity not only engages them in a playful winter-themed quest but also reinforces letter recognition and spatial skills.
