2023 Refresh of the "Jockey Cam" Data Dashboards
I was asked to update and refresh the design of a data dashboard to go over the live video feed of the "Jockey Cams" for the Breeders' Cup World Championships. Two horses in each race had a go pro and a sensor to detect speed, location on the track, and position relative to other horses.
I decided to keep a majority of the content on the top of the frame; due to the fact that all the action within the jockey cam footage happens in the bottom two thirds of the frame. I designed this to reference a pair of jockey goggles with the circular brass vents acting as the containers for the speed and position information. This furthered the POV effect of the camera footage.
