두 지역이 육교로 통해 이어져 있는 부분이 매력적으로 느껴져 설계 프로젝트를 진행하게 되었습니다.
'도시재생' 과 '연결성' 이라는 키워드를 생각하고 설계를 통해 문화예술을 통한 건강한 지역문화 공동체 회복이 목표였습니다.
현재 지역은 상업지역과 주거지역이 분절되어 있어 두 지역의 도시발전 수준이 불균형한 상태였습니다.
문제를 해결하기 위해 분절된 공간에 안양동 실태조사에 따른 주민이 필요한 커뮤니티 센터를 조성하여 지역민이 참여할 수 있는 접근성이 필요하다고 생각했습니다.
지역문화 생태계를 조성하고 사회적 통합을 유도하면 문화 공동체가 회복되면서, 사람을 통해 신시가지와 구시가지의 불균형 문제를 해결할 수 있는 효과를 기대했습니다.
