Year of Dragon Chinese Red Pockets Design

Red Pockets design for the Chinese New Year of the Dragon
This is a series of illustrations I designed for the red packets in celebration of the Chinese New Year of the Dragon. Gifting red packets during the Spring Festival is one of the most common customs in China, symbolising auspiciousness and celebration. People convey care and wishes through the exchange of red packets.

This series of illustrations is utilized on the cover of red packets, featuring a total of four dragon designs. The artwork ingeniously combines four distinct dragon motifs with animals representing auspicious idioms, including the tiger, horse, phoenix, and fish. The design integrates traditional and modern elements, adding a fashionable atmosphere to the celebration of the new year.
The artwork employs four-color printing combined with techniques such as gold and silver hot stamping, UV embossing, etc. The paper used is a specialty paper with a textured finish, providing recipients with a visually and tactually rich and intricate experience upon receiving the red packet.
