XPENG ROBOTIC HUMANOIDS
On Oct.24, 2023, XPENG Motors introduced its first AI humanoid robot, the PX5. With advanced artificial intelligence and high-performance joints, PX5 navigates terrains effortlessly while its nimble hands excel in object handling. This project unveils the design process behind PX5, alongside sneak peeks into two other undisclosed robots, PX3 and PX7.

PX3, PX5 and PX7
Three projects — PX3, PX5, and PX7 — were concurrently designed.
PX3 adopts a robotic platform akin to a vacuum robot, emphasizing efficient mobility. In contrast, PX5 employs two human-like legs but maintains a distinct robotic aesthetic. Pushing the boundaries further, PX7 exhibits a more humanoid appearance, coupled with advanced features.
These robots were designed as a cohesive series, sharing common design elements and features. Among the three, PX5 was chosen to be further developed based on its engineering reliazability as well as public acceptability.
