GetAtMeWeezy.com was a website for Lil' Wayne fans to create, share and gain exposure for their Weezy's inspired music during his incarceration.
The website facilitated the sharing of fan created Art and Music. Contributions from around the world were submitted to the website. The project amassed press from top music blogs, newspapers and social media sites, but never reached it's final goal of having fans collaborate with the artist himself for a charity mixtape.
All in all - I consider the project a success and great learning experience. We were able to release a full mixtape of newly created Lil Wayne Tracks in which benefits went to the Courtney's Foundation Charity. The project was able to generate cash via custom designer t-shirt sales. Profits from sales covered web and marketing expenses. (appox. $300 USD)
