Walgreens Generic Brand Allergy Meds

Student project to redesign the packaging for an over-the-counter medication. In this case I redesigned "Wal-Phed" the Walgreens generic version of Sudafed. Part of the design challenge was to create clear icons and not to exclude the required label information for drugs.
The concept behind this was to minimize the packaging as much as possible. The packaging relies on the use of icons to relay it's intended use. All the information from the original packaging is available in some form on the board, as well as on the container with the medication, which is able to pop-out from the cardboard backing and travel.
Medication boxes are notoriously difficult to read. Several focus groups were conducted to test for effectiveness of the icons as well as the text size and readability.
