THE SHORTFILM
"Espresso Race" is a zero-budget short film conceived and created by the dnm media team. The video is intended to be a small personal project of artistic and management exercise to be included in our portfolio.
THE IDEA
The idea behind it is very simple: a car enthusiast wakes up in the morning and gets ready to go for a ride in the mountains with his Porsche GT3. We wanted to include various elements to characterize the video, such as coffee, which the title also refers to, a ploy both for plot and idea purposes (coffee gives you the energy needed to run) and on a purely aesthetic level. same thing for the turntable, used both for the scenography and to insert the initial soundtrack (See You Later Alligator - Bill Aley) into the video.
THE SCENOGRAPHY
With the elements of the scenography (an old workbench, turntable, tennigraph, oil tank and numerous tyres) we wanted to give the idea of an old garage that had nothing to do with a new and very modern Porsche GT3, rigorously covered , in order to give the greatest possible contrast to the second part.
THE DYNAMIC PART
Immediately after starting the car we catapult ourselves into the vast Alps of Lake Como. Here, through rolling and landscape shots, the protagonist driver pushes his vehicle to the limit. The video ends with the car returning to the initial garage, the vinyl ends and the protagonist pours the coffee into the cup he had prepared before leaving.
