The design journey started by gathering information about each book and aspects of Sudha Murty's personality. It took inspiration from her life and work, incorporating elements found in her books such as a mango tree, birds in the clouds, local candy, and squirrels. These elements were rendered in a gentle style and combined with a structured pattern, reminiscent of the simple border of her saree, to capture the essence of Sudha Murty. Additionally, the website prominently showcases Gopi, her beloved dog, wagging his tail as a welcoming invitation into their world.
