So why actually an ampersand?
On the one hand, it is one of the most beautiful glyphs, but also the most difficult to draw. On the other hand, it is also a symbol with a very special meaning. An A is an A, a B is a B, separately these characters have no special meaning. They only form words together. By contrast, the ampersand itself stands for something very special. It is a very integrative symbol that basically welcomes and involves everyone. For example, „Red & Green” quickly becomes „Red, Green & Blue” and so on. The ampersand opens, connects and allows everyone to find their place.
