GIT215 - HTML/CSS and Web Design

I was tasked to code HTML and CSS for a website project, utilizing everything I've learned in GIT 215.
These wireframes were given to me as a starting point to write and style my website. I was also given image assets and copy to work into my project.
I chose Gesta for my headings and Open Sans for the copy. I knew I wanted to use a sans serif style to give my site a clean and modern look.
With the assets that were provided, I knew this would be representing an area that featured snowy landscapes and wintery slopes. With that in mind, and with wanting to create something clean and modern, I chose a palette that shifted towards cooler tones and reminded me of ski slopes and sophistication.
Great Glacier is a fictional resort with breathtaking views of lush forest and mountain peaks. With my wireframes in mind, I coded my project to have clean lines and a simple but contemporary design. I also rounded out some corners to add a little bit of styling.
The clean look and color palette complimented the assets that were given to me and resulted in an overall appealing experience.
