Here's what came of it.

Here's a bit of process.
I started with some basic sketching, focusing on letterforms and simplicity.
Taking the idea into Illustrator, I explored the idea of the paint roller to simultaneously symbolize the P
and communicate the nature of the business at a glance, but the client connected with a classic P form.
Once we settled on the icon, we discussed some color interaction options.
With a general idea of color families, we tried a few:
The orange stood out, and we finalized the brand with a basic logotype and brand guide.
Perhaps the future will hold further work in visual identity & marketing.
