For Adobe XD week, Athletics was asked to speak on the subject of solitary and collective creativity. What is the inter-relationship between the solitary creative expression of the the individual and the collective creativity of the group and how does one inform the other?
Adobe XD Signature Series
As an demonstration of solitary and collective creativity the Athletics design team developed and an individual graphic signature for each of the 150 individuals on the Adobe XD Team. The challenge was to build a series of modular type/graphic systems that could be expanded upon using iteration and variation by a group of 7 designers in just under 4 weeks. Athletics created 10 thematic graphic systems and developed roughly 15 names within each system. Each system strikes a balance between typography legibility and graphic abstraction. Each final signature took the form of an 18" by 24" in poster that was given to each person on the Adobe XD Team.
