Inspired by the Venetian types of the 1500s mixed with calligraphic traits from Jesuit manuscripts from the Guarani missions in South America around 1700.
Structure, proportions and classic features that function as a base are rescued, and other more risky ones typical of the Jesuit-Guarani baroque movement that took place in the Misiones Province of Paraguay.

PARAGUARIA es mi proyecto tipográfico final de la Maestría en Tipografía por la Universidad de Buenos Aires – UBA - 2023. PARAGUARIA recibió un mérito de la Beca Gerard Unger 2023 otorgado por TypeTogether.
Inspirada en los tipos venecianos del 1500 en mezcla con rasgos caligráficos provenientes de manuscritos jesuíticos de las misiones guaraníes en Sudamérica hacia el 1700.
Se rescatan estructura, proporciones y rasgos clásicos que funcionan de base, y otros más arriesgados propios del movimiento barroco jesuítico-guaraní que tuvo lugar en la Provincia misionera del Paraguay.
