This project seeks to craft picture books inspired by African oral traditions, aiming to fill the gap in South African literary history. The goal was to create a book in a 12-hour "dash," allowing them to be freely printed and distributed to tackle the scarcity of books in African languages, particularly for children in low-income communities. These books draw on childhood proverbial phrases, conveying cultural wisdom and lessons through storytelling. The target audience for this book is children aged 3-6 years old.
