Religious - Chicano Style Spread
This is my first spread and I came up with this after numerous attempts at following tattoo trends to include in my portfolio, but those never felt like my style and was frustrating and uncomfortable to design and draw.
I then decided to draw what I would want tattooed on myself and in my style, and came up with these.
Blood Money -
Initially I had plans to just draw a stack of money with blood on it, but with more consideration, it was overdone. So instead I wanted the focus to be on the face of the dollar bill, to emphasize on the evil of greed, and for the blood to be more subtle.
Mary's Heart -
A classic, I just wanted to see how more unique I can make it, given it has such specific elements (heart, 7 swords, flame) and is a very common design.
Skull and Roses -
Honestly I just wanted to show some classic roses and skull in the portofolio.
Praying Hands -
I love rosemaries, religious jewelleries, etc. I find them extremely enchanting, hence I wanted to try and incorporate them into at least 1 design.
