FlowMate - Accessible Workflow App
Overview:
FlowMate is a mobile application designed to assist with forming and following through with tasks. It was designed with users who have ADHD or autism in mind. It encourages that tasks be broken down into simple steps, and rewards progress, no matter how small.

Research Summary:
The research done for this project focused around an audience of those with neurodevelopmental disorders. In particular, those with autism, ADHD, and specific learning disorders. A mix of medical summaries and personal accounts were used to determine the issues that this group most needs support in. It was found that many members of this audience struggle to perform tasks required of them in work and school. Those with autism or ADHD especially struggle with executive function.

Summary of Changes:
Many other applications and websites exist to assist with forming and organizing tasks. Based on user feedback, an emphasis was placed on accessibility, as well as a “self-care” aspect. Focus mode and breaks were added to make a large workload seem less overwhelming, to encourage the user to prioritize one thing at a time, and to help manage the time spent working.
