The concept of the space hotel on the surface of the Moon developed for the BESTorino architectural competition in 2021. The time dedicated to the competition was only 36 hours, but even in this short time it was possible to arrive with sufficient proposal.

Looking around us, here on Earth we see countless people, diverse expressions of life, civilization, and an environment that those factors are forming. We are surrounded by this magnificent diversity and wealth yet rarely recognize it as something extraordinary. We were born into this environment, we were grown up in it and for us, it seldom brings any new value.

As an opposite to this wealth of everyday life, the Moon offers us a great emptiness, an endless desert, full of scars from meteors - rare visitors, violators of never-ending peace; an enormous landscape that did not know a change for millions of years. This feeling is emphasized when one has a possibility to look from the ridge of a crater and explore not only reduced gravity or the small joy of being in another environment but the existential consequences of confronting the sublime.

The complex itself is supposed to use landscape features to emphasize and expand an experience of being on the Moon. The surroundings of the hotel work together to give a glimpse of the infinity of the space, while interior of the living capsules suppose to create warm and homelike environment, as much as it is possible in the given conditions.

As building material idea was to use an existing material on the surface for 3d printing the habitat, while water, landscape and structure of the habitat suppose to create a protective surface from cosmic and sun radiation and micro meteorites.
