Product Requirement
Intro & Context
Google Docs is a very powerful real-time collaboration and document authoring tool. Multiple users can edit a document at the same time while seeing each others' changes instantaneously. Users can produce text documents, slide presentations, spreadsheets, drawings, and surveys.
User Problem
Users find it hard to give instant real-time feedback on a project. They also figure out that they need a place to draft and brainstorm their ideas before including them in the document.
User Research
After consulting with users, it came out that users would love to be able to share their ideas with other collaborators while still on the same project screen. Here, I classified the main functionalities that would enhance the user’s experience into the following user stories:
● As a user, I would like to chat with other collaborators on a project
● As a user, I would like to edit my chat
● As a user, I would like to reply to other chats in the same document.
