"We're never getting out of here. Let's make it better!"
In celebration of Earth day we @Sneaker LAB teamed up with our family @ Pot Plant Club to explore processes we could use to create greener t-shirts ♻️ Our aim was to learn about the process of creating an eco friendly t-shirt - We tried various methods when it came to different elements of the production process and through a lot of trial and error we managed to create the t-shirts you see here!
Here is how they were made:
The 180GSM cotton we used came from a roll with tiny marks on it - the roll had been marked “reject” and would have been discarded if we had not bought it - it doesn’t always have to be perfect!!
We achieved the cream colour we love so much using beetroot juice as a dye - look we hoped for a pink colour but again, the process is not perfect when exploring alternative methods!
The one colour screen print uses eco-ink which allows for a far less water intensive process!
The swing tag that comes with each tee is printed on seeded paper meaning that if you plant it and water it, a tomato tree will grow - literally 🍅
