Diffusion of information is a noisy process- as a message is passed on, errors keep creeping in and facts are distorted often times to an extent that they are either different or contradict the original message. Statements that hide truth, mislead others, obscure reality and promote ideas that do not exist can be deceptive. To get closer to the truth, we must expose ourselves to diverse perspectives instead of reinforcing or amplifying a single point of view.
