Swalif Al-Bahar - Tales of the Sea represents a confluence of history and celebration, an event poised at the intersection of the UAE’s rich maritime past and its vibrant present. The collaboration between The Knot and the Louvre Abu Dhabi for the UAE National Day encapsulates an immersive experience, inviting guests to delve into the heart of the Emirati seafaring heritage.
Wordmark
The wordmark exudes a vintage feel, evoking the essence of a bygone era that will soon be encapsulated in the event. It retains an open-ended and expansive quality. The incorporation of additional kashidas within the Arabic wordmark serves as a symbolic element, representing the intertwined bonds, relationships, and tales that continue to influence the lives of Emiratis.
Calligraphy Graphic
The calligraphy is a creative interpretation of the Arabic wordmark, symbolizing the themes of connectivity and the undulating sea waves. It draws inspiration from the captivating silhouettes formed by the jib on sailboats (dhow) as they gracefully navigate through the water.
