Redesigning a broadcast show - Taboo
A show that tackles taboo subjects should evoke feelings as clear, open, and conducive to free expression as possible. This can be achieved through the use of circular seating arrangements, eliminating sharp angles, and creating a more organic and fluid environment. This redesign encourages a sense of openness and ease in communication, allowing for more nuanced and a deeper comprehension of the subjects under discussion.
The approach I've chosen for this show, utilizing a "conversation pit," entails sunken seating areas that gained popularity during the 1960s and 1970s. This design element inherently encourages a sense of intimacy, coaxing forth the inclination within us to express things that may otherwise be difficult to articulate.
Additional technical notes
-The stairs leading up to the raised platform for seating feature collapsible mechanisms, ensuring seamless operation when the rest of the stage is in motion, thus mitigating any potential technical issues.
-The advertising projectors are easily maneuverable for optimal positioning.
-The four decorative pillars, positioned on both sides, are crafted from soft materials, enhancing both aesthetics and safety.
