When I envision Lockheed Martin I think of cutting-edge aircraft and state-of-the-art weaponry crafted for the U.S. Military. Using an Adobe Stock Image of a fighter jet and overlaying it with an image of men and tanks in combat, I designed the main focal point of this event, discussing warfare and military technology.

I decided to use an image of the Pentagon for the background, because it symbolizes the epicenter of U.S. political and defense discourse. I decreased the opacity of the background image to captivate the viewers attention to the aircraft and combat design. This then creates a visual pathway that brings the viewers attention right to the Event Title, Tagline, and Politico logo; which is executed in both the Email Invite and Stage Mockup.

For the typography, I wanted a stencil style font that aligned with the bold, authoritative aesthetic of the Military. Settling on the Adobe Font, Social Gothic Stencil, I found its rugged yet legible qualities perfectly aligned with our event theme. To establish a hierarchy in the typography, I enhanced the Event Title by enlarging the font size, while keeping the tagline the same width and in a smaller font size. Additionally, I encased the tagline in a box the color of Politico red, reinstating its significance. 

Across each element, from Email Invite to Advertisements to the Stage Mockup, there is a cohesive design that carries throughout and reinforces the event's message.
