Lando Norris maiden win, Senna tribute livery. Ayrton Senna tragically passed away 30 years ago, leaving as one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. Yesterday Lando Norris joined names like Senna, Hamilton, Raikkonen, McLaren, Fittipaldi, Hunt, Lauda, Prost, Hakkinen (...), as a Formula 1 race winner with McLaren.
Given the anniversary of Senna's passing, and the coming of McLaren's second win since 2012, I saw it fitting to depict Norris' golden number 4 on one of the team's most iconic and dominant liveries. This is a modernized take on the classic. Sometimes design isn't about creating something completely new and ingenuitive, sometimes it's about honoring the past. This is a piece I thoroughly enjoyed creating.
