In 2022 I was invited to work as Art Director setting up the sets to be built on location at Burra in South Australia. While designing the sets remotely with Amy, I organised drone footage to be shot over the site. Using photogrammetry software I converted the footage into a 1:1 3D model that was used to plot the sets. Using this approach allowed us to integrate the sets with the existing topography and accurately assess sightlines and confidently establish relationships with the buildings and location elements. 

Over Zoom we we were able to walk Warwick through the designs, show him accurate lighting/shadow conditions for certain hours of the day, and modify the designs based on his feedback. Once the sets were established, detail design followed. Below are examples of the schematic renders used in the design process, the models of which were then used for documentation and fabrication.
