The purpose of this project was to simplify and visualize information about different design periods into a timeline so that graphic design students were more familiar with the design history and chronology of those periods.

To convey the information in a clear and accessible manner, I designed a simple isometric grid with colored rectangles representing various design periods. Each of them lines up with a specific time interval on the timeline. Periods without a fixed end date have a slight fade away on them. There are also some events of great significance indicated with black and red shapes that provide some context to what was happening at the time. Each time period is linked to a textbox, which includes a brief text description and a visual example.
