This is a title sequence based on a Grimm fairytale called “The Owl”. A digital watercolor brush was the main medium throughout this motion composition. The design will have 4 distinct credit pages but the type can be subtle or a very prominent part of the work. Imagining this chosen fairytale as a TV series or movie, I created a title sequence that portrays the themes of that story. The goal is not to illustrate the story but to build deeper connections with the story through symbolism. The Owl is about how an ordinary owl discovers this barn as a place for it to stay. However, the townspeople perceive it as a monster as they have never seen anything like it. They then decide to rid of the owl and burn the barn down.
