ILLUSTRATED BOOK
ALICE NEL PAESE DELLE MERAVIGLIE
Brief: the creation of an "Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie" illustrated book.
The sketches of the illustrations were created in pencil on paper, then refined and colored in Photoshop.
The style of the illustrations I called 'monochromatic cute' and its features are:
- the characters are in a cute style, with the characteristic big eyes and head and small body
- the illustrations are monochromatic and the color was chosen based on the World visited by Alice
- shadows in the illustrations are created using halftone technique.
After creating the illustrations, I laid out the book using InDesign.
I also designed an illustrated alphabet, created with Illustrator, on the theme of the story, to be used within the book as drop caps.
