These 2 paintings are pieces made while studying 2 different painting styles trying to discover what style I prefer.
This painting is an acrylic painting of a part of a self portrait piece from the 3 Reflections project. Painted with acrylic on canvas, this piece focuses on capturing shadows in shapes while adding a background that is reminiscent of a propaganda poster.
This painting is a study of shapes and shadows. The styrofoam shapes are placed in varying positions to capture the strongest shadows. While most of the shadows are hard shadows requiring little to no blending, the cone needed to be blended between 2 shades of gray.
