Stride
Effortless Reach, Cool and Neat

'Stride,' the cylindrical fridge designed to solve accessibility challenges. With a built-in pulley mechanism inspired by forklift movements, Stride offers easy access to items at the back and top. This elegant design enhances accessibility for users of all heights, adding a modern touch to any space.
When we took visits to local shops, we identified several accessibility issues with traditional commercial fridges. Customers, especially those of smaller stature, faced difficulty reaching items placed at the back and top of the refrigerator. Similarly, taller individuals experienced discomfort and exertion when bending to access items at the bottom. Additionally, products that were deep behind others posed a challenge to access.

Inspired by the forklift's up-down movement mechanism, it features a built-in pulley mechanism controlled by the user's leg. This allows users to easily raise and lower trays, providing access to items at the back, top, and deep behind others. The leg press area is intuitively marked with up and down arrows, symbolizing the upward and downward movement of the trays. Additionally, the cylindrical shape of the fridge allows the trays to be rotated, further enhancing accessibility without the need for users to physically enter the fridge.
