This project is a personal student project. I made it from January 2021 to April 2021 when I was in my Industrial Design bachelor.

It's a small App UI Design project.

The project aims to create a platform to provide job opportunities for the hearing impaired through the medium of sign language, to help them better integrate into the society, and at the same time, to popularise sign language among the general public. I hope that the hearing impaired and hearing people will listen to each other and help each other more.
Here are some personas for what I imagine the target group of the app would be.
I made a wireframe prototype and modelled interactions by Adobe XD. The purple lines show interaction flow.
I found 3 random people as my user testers, and I assigned some tasks in the app for them to finish.

I watched and recorded what happened and organized the findings in a sheet. Each task was tracked and in the end I came up with some proposed solutions.
I continued improving the app's layout and flow. Here you can see before and after versions, as well as my reasoning for the changes.
I also made a storyboard to imagine how the app could be useful in people's lives.
