For my class, in addition to creating a 3 to 4 piece collection, we also had to create a collection video. I was the creative director, director, and editor for the video while my friend was the videographer. For this video, I was inspired by ballroom culture and decided to film my video in that style. I did not give my models much direction because I wanted the joy and aura of feeling yourself to be authentic. My only direction to them was to live your fantasy and let how you feel right now in this moment in these garments radiate through and the rest was history. I think through this video, you can feel the authenticity of freedom in the way my models were moving, looking at the camera, feeling their femininity and that's exactly what I wanted for this collection. This video was filmed 3/17/24 and it was presented on 4/20/24 and the Picnic Day Fashion Show. This video also served as my teaser for the collection on Instagram.
