My Isometric illustration is an architectural representation of a remote Alaskan lodge. It is an idealistic representation of a fly-in lodge with guest cabins. The floating island represents the remoteness and mountainous region. The thick spruce trees are often everywhere, so I used several trees to symbolize a forest without taking over the composition. The cache on stilts is how the pioneers kept food stores away from the big game like bears. There is not much grass in a forest or at that altitude, and many parts of Alaska have volcanic-rich soil, so the ground reflects the rocky nature and colors one would expect in the area. I also included Alaska Fireweed, which signifies the end of summer once the blooms reach the top. I added some other shrubs and a couple of Alders. I learned a lot in the design process and hope to continue to improve and build my isometric design skills.
