DCID - Low Fidelity model and rapid testing

Project: DCID, dismounted combat identification, a smart scope required UI user research and definition.
Cubic, DCID, dismounted combat identification. A scope capable of bouncing a signal off of equipped personnel.
A usability testing lab was built for a base line on methods we looked at a classic test, the Stroop effect.  My role: usability lab methods & UI definition for DCID.
With a focus on usability and reaction time, a mock up was created to define the interface separately from development.  Reaction time and error rate measured.
Text, images, size and location of the UI tested with clear results on negative learning, error rate and reaction time summarized to the team.
