Candle #1: I wanted to evoke the most commonly associated emotion with candles, such as that of warmth, brightness and happiness; the kind of happiness that you get when you're surrounded by your loved ones. 

Candle #2: For this color scheme I tried to create something that was in contrast to the first emotion, so I used a cooler, darker color palette of greens and purples to convey a sense of gloom and loneliness.

Candle #3: The emotion I tried to capture was serenity. I thought that the combination of grey and turquoise would lead to images of a pristine lake around a ground of rocks that someone would meditate in to find peace and tranquility in themselves.
