THE CURIOUS MAP BOOK
a design for the British Library
This project is a design brief for the British Library in London.
MA Book Design 2014, University of Reading.
The project
The British Library had put together a collection of interesting maps, which they had called curious maps, from 1493 onwards. These maps are from various parts of the world and have a second level information attached to them that makes them different from regular maps. The brief was to design a book that contains these maps and their descriptions. The manuscript, images, approximate costing and the format were provided by the client.
