“Window Farms” is a vertical, modular, prolific and low-energy window garden, that is made of local and recycled materials.

 

The project was launched in New York in 2009 as a part of communal art work. The aim was to start a boom of window cultivation in densely populated urban areas and help people both grow food at their home windows around the year and get excited about local and voluntary food production in internet-surroundings.
