These images were a study in connotation and denotation, inspired by an object that has value or meaning to it. The object photographed was a musical jewelry box I was given as a child that included a spinning ballerina figurine on the inside. Two of the images focus on the denotative aspects of the box, the viewing experience one goes through on the surface level, while two focus on the connotations of delicacy and femininity that could be seen in the ballerina.
