After choosing a Smithsonian article about King Tut not being the handsome, charming man the world thought he was (due to his parents being siblings) I began looking at Egyptian history, and more specifically, communication.
Taking the idea of hieroglyphics into a modern realm, I started looking at the use of emoji. By deforming the emoji with a halftone pattern, I was able to implement a bit more influence from the original article.
