OISF 2014: Destination Orange

Orange International Street Fair 2014: Destination Orange

The Orange International Street Fair, which is celebrated annually over Labor Day weekend, gathers
together non-profit organizations, and the citizens of Orange to celebrate international culture and cuisine. In preparation for the 2014 fair, OISF sought a revival of their brand through a visual redesign. The redesign needed to attract more visitors to the fair while still maintaining their original customer base, (families of Orange and surrounding areas as well as students from local middle schools, high schools, and Chapman University).

The theme “Destination Orange” was established. This theme relies on the concept of international travel as the visitor “travels” between the booths of each country, as well as encompassing the tradition and history of Orange with a vintage Art Deco style. It also represents how people of different nationalities from all over Orange County and its surrounding cities come together to celebrate each other’s heritage, with the Orange
International Street Fair as their “destination”.

The redesigned website follows the basic structure of the fair’s existing website, making the design update as convenient as possible for the OISF board. The design maintains consistency with the vintage aesthetic and uses the stickers and distressed paper texture as a background.
