Tool / Accessory for the European Fishing Market
This was my first project in my role as Design Engineer. A tool/ accessory for the European fishing market.
Research of similar existing products was carried out to ensure that this tool excelled in its use.
I was responsible for conceptualisation and the development of this design, and was involved with its injection moulding tooling requirements.
I made this design functional yet stylish. I managed to combine these qualities by introducing an oval shaped grip at the front of the drill. This introduced an anti roll function to the product, which helps when the drill is placed on an uneven flat surface, when it would often roll off and get lost in the grass.

The stainless steel drill bit is over-moulded by a hard plastic skeletal. This is over-moulded a second time with a soft coloured outer grip.
This product has excelled in the European fishing industry, and is the preferred choice of tool for many first class anglers.
