"HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY". Procreate App on iPad Pro. I cut my bangs as a child, and when Mom asked "What happened to your hair?" I replied, "I was holding the scissors and ran and tripped down the stairs."
"Autumn's Mother's Day Gift". It's for my sister-in-law--a drawing of her daughter. I placed her in a Ghibli Studio-themed illustration, full of that child innocence of wonder and play. Can you find some Ghibli icons in this picture?
"Speed Selfie". Or what was supposed to be a "speed" portrait ended up getting pretty detailed. Gotta work on retaining gesture.
"I Voted (For Others)", 8.5s11". When I first voted, I drew a half-assed sketch of me holding the "I voted" sticker. Dad love dit so much that he obsessively asked for it while I kept telling him he'll get a better version. Two Years later...lol. This was for his Xmas gift. The "for others" remark is a statement: that I didn't think of just my own interests when voting, but thought about what other people needed out of their new president. Sometimes it feels like people vote only for themselves, not thinking how it affects others negatively...
12x12", micron pen, Photoshop. My Xmas gift for my parents, inspired by one of my fav artists "TakumiToxin" (for a personal gift, not selling purposes). This is a piece that hits home close to the heart. I took the things from my childhood--my toys, mom's garden, our backyard, etc--and added them to a drawing that represents a loving childhood I am truly grateful for. As every year passes, at every Xmas with my family, I am reminded of my roots and the love that nurtured them.

For Lish's Super-Special-Secret-Santa-Surprise, I decided to draw her customized playing cards, since she loves card games. Each card is a portrait of someone special/current in her life, and her favorite, cute animals (fictional/nonfictional). With the help of friends and family, I quoted each drawing based on inside jokes or movies she knew. Then her mom, brother, and I pretended to play Cards Against Humanity and placed her Xmas cards between each CAH cards....:D The following images are each card.

My Valentine's Day gift to my girlfriend of five years, Lish. :) Each heart-shaped portrait shows how much we've grown each year: from honey-moon stage, to silly, to extremely fun, to extremely annoying each other to no end <3 Haha.
